Tube & Profile Cutting
We supply the right blade-and-machine combination for clean, fast, burr-free cutting on tube and profile lines.
Two factors decide efficiency in tube and profile cutting: a blade geometry matched to the material, and a cutting machine sized to the job. Carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium each call for a different tooth design, coating and cutting speed.
For high-strength steel and thick-walled tube we offer Kampmann PVD-coated carbide blades (EASYCAT S, STARBLADE); the solid-carbide ROYAL TC for thin-walled profiles; and cermet blades for superior surface finish. On the machine side, Torsel automatic circular saw machines are available in a range of capacities.
We help select the right product for your material, section size and throughput, and recommend solutions for both stationary and flying cut-off machines.
How to choose the right tube and profile cutting solution
The steps to reach the right blade-and-machine combination for your material, section and throughput.
- 1
Identify the material and section
Determine whether it is carbon steel, stainless or aluminium, and confirm tube diameter, wall thickness and profile size. Each material calls for a different tooth design and cutting speed.
- 2
Select the blade type and coating
For high-strength steel and thick walls choose Kampmann PVD-coated carbide blades (EASYCAT S, STARBLADE); the solid-carbide ROYAL TC for thin-walled profiles; and cermet blades for superior surface finish.
- 3
Match the machine capacity
Choose a Torsel automatic circular saw machine sized to your section and throughput, and select a solution for stationary or flying (mitlaufende) cut-off as needed.
- 4
Set tooth count and cutting parameters
Set tooth count, cutting speed and feed to the wall thickness and required surface finish. Correct parameters give burr-free cuts and long tool life.
- 5
Plan sharpening and service
Set up a regular sharpening schedule to preserve tool life. We provide sharpening and technical service support from a single source.

Frequently Asked Questions
For stainless and alloy tube we typically recommend Kampmann versatile carbide blades (MULTICAT KCS) or, for thin-walled sections, the solid-carbide ROYAL TC. We set the tooth geometry and cutting speed to your wall thickness.
