Lemp was founded in 1906 in Remscheid, Germany by sawsmith Gustav Adolf Lemp and is today a family-owned company run by the third generation. Initially making hot circular saw blades for steelworks and rolling mills, it became a leading manufacturer of friction (hot-cut) saw blades, circular knives and saw bodies.
